Have you heard of MIS?

It stands for Minimally Invasive Surgery.

This is a technique of surgery that involves making small portal incisions, rather than long, open incisions. We are able to perform both soft tissue and bone procedures through these portal incisions with the help of intra-operative x-ray.

We insert instruments, called burrs, through the portal incisions, to cut and position the bone as needed, achieving the same result as traditional, open surgery.

In many cases, hardware (metal implants like screws, pins, plates) are not required.

Minimally invasive surgery (MIS) allows for less surgical time in the Operating room, less downtime, lower risk for infection, less healing complications, less scarring, and faster recoveries.

Bunions, Tailor’s bunions, Hammertoes, bone spurs, and other deformities can be surgically corrected using MIS technique.

If you have a condition that is bothering you, ask Dr. Singh if you are a candidate for MIS!
